Shellie O’Day, MBA, RRT-NPS and others from CHS MedCenter Air in Charlotte, NC flew to Texas to assist in flood rescues as a result of Hurricane Harvey. See the article at WCNC NBC Charlotte.

With the recent wildfires affecting the northwest area of the U.S., several AARC members have shared their expertise with media outlets. KVAL in Eugene, OR and the Cottage Grove Sentinel reached out to Robert Stalbow, AAS, RRT while Holly Elizabeth Tull, AAS, RRT, AE-C and Carolyn Smith McCain, RRT, RPSGT were featured in the Yakima Herald and Carol Lynn Hardisty, RRT, AE-C of Oregon was featured in The Register Guard. They all helped explain the steps and precautions individuals should take to stay safe in a poor air quality environment.

Kelly Thunde, BS, RRT was included in an article from Public Opinion for her participation in Health Franklin County’s Community Walking Parties. She encourages her patients to take part, explaining that the walking parties are not only a great way to get exercise, but also a chance to socialize and explore their Franklin County scenery.

Catherine A. Bitsche and Jason Elder, BSRT, RRT were featured in the Hickory Record representing Catawba Valley Community College’s Respiratory Therapy Program, which was recently recognized with the 2016 Distinguished Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credentialing Success Award.

The Herald and News recently covered a community safety fair organized by first responders in the Klamath Falls, OR area. AARC member Mary Effingham, RRT helped make the event a success by giving fair-goers a first-hand look of an AirLink CCT medical transport helicopter.

The Southern Illinoisan highlighted Darrell Bryant, RRT in their 2017 Class of Leaders Among Us series. The article described how Bryant has not only grown and advanced in his career path, but also how he gives back to his community by supporting the arts.
