The innovator in valved holding chambers, the AEROCHAMBER® brand of valved holding chamber (aVHC) has been trusted by hospitals for over 30 years. The AEROCHAMBER PLUS®  Z STAT®  AVHC proprietary valve baffle design increases aerosol suspension time to assist dose assurance of metered dose inhaler medication. The optimally designed anti-static chamber ensures consistent medication availability.

The AEROCHAMBER PLUS® Z STAT® AVHC has an extra-sensitive valve that allows people who are shallow breathers to still get the most they can from their inhalers.

How It Works

  1. Inhaler alone with poor technique. Poor lung delivery means you can taste your inhaler medication.
  2. Inhaler with AEROCHAMBER® brand of chamber. People who use our chamber with their inhaler have better control.1

How To Use

  1. Remove inhaler and mouthpiece caps.
  2. Shake the inhaler.
  3. Insert the inhaler into the back of the chamber.
  4. Apply mouthpiece or mask to face.
  5. Press the inhaler, breathe in slowly and hold your breath for 5 to 10 seconds or breathe 2 to 3 times. (For mask, count for 5 to 6 breaths.)
  6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 as prescribed.

The original valved holding chamber has evolved into the AEROCHAMBER PLUS® Z STAT® aVHC to interface with improved MDI aerosol formulations and activities. The AEROCHAMBER PLUS® Z STAT® aVHC continues to offer the best value for optimal aerosol drug delivery and economic value for hospitals.

Different chambers deliver different amounts of medication.1 The AEROCHAMBER PLUS® Z STAT aVHC provides a consistent dose of medication substantially equivalent to the MDI dose.2

Yes. The AEROCHAMBER PLUS® Z STAT® Chambers can be used with ALL commonly prescribed metered dose inhalers. They are the most recommended chamber by leading metered dose inhaler pharmaceutical companies.

Many things can have a type of static electricity that makes other things stick to it, for example rubbing a balloon over hair can create static. Anti-static materials decrease the static charge or “clinginess” to a surface. This is very important to have so that the medication does not stick to the walls of the device but can go into your lungs where it needs to be.

Yes, our chambers are manufactured using an anti-static polymer. Static will not build up (even if stored in a plastic bag) and they can be used straight from the package.

None of our chambers are made or manufactured using BPA, natural rubber latex, phthalates, lead, or PVC. Our chambers are manufactured in the US using parts from the US and Canada.

“There’s funny little ways that it’s made a difference. I was coughing so hard and there was so much pressure in my lungs that I had to sleep sitting up. It was hard to go out walking my dog for example because I was so breathless. So I really find the device helps to clear my lungs, I’ve been able to lie down at night so that just in itself it is a very good thing because it’s better rest.”

“It means better health, it means I feel better. It also helps to just clear my airways in everyday situations if I want to go out to a show which can be hard to do when you’re a cougher. I use this a lot before I go to clear my airways so I don’t have to run into that problem when I’m out.”

“The Aerobika* OPEP device has proven to be more easy [sic] to use and monitor. We struggle to get my daughter to perform her chest therapy using the traditional [competitive] device. This has proven to be more effective.”

“I have had chronic cough for 5 years now. After just two uses I slept through the night without coughing several times during the night. I normally had severe long cough spells at least once a week…”
