AeroChamber Plus® Flow-Vu® aVHC

An anti-static valved holding chamber (aVHC) is commonly known as a spacer, a device used with your inhalers to ensure the medication gets to your lungs and not in your mouth or back of your throat.

To get the most benefit from your inhaler, you should ideally coordinate when you push down on your inhaler in the middle of a deep inhalation. This is often difficult to do, especially for children. The AeroChamber Plus® Flow-Vu® aVHC makes it easier to coordinate the actuation of your inhaler with your inspiratory intake to obtain maximum benefit from your medication.

The AeroChamber Plus® Flow-Vu® aVHC has a unique Inspiratory Indicator and EZ Flow™ exhalation valve.

It may be used with a ComfortSeal® Mask for children or for adults who prefer this method. These Valved Holding Chambers (VHC) have FDA 510(k) clearance for use with both Metered Dose and Soft Mist Inhaler formats. The new Intermediate Mask, along with the remainder of the product line, minimizes dead space and helps reduce gaps where unwanted air can enter around the mask.

Before you use the AeroChamber Plus® Flow-Vu® aVHC, wash your hands and inspect the aVHC to make sure there is nothing inside the chamber or any broken or missing parts.

After shaking your inhaler and priming per its provided instructions, remove the caps from the ends of the AeroChamber Plus® Flow-Vu® aVHC and from your inhaler and insert your inhaler into the back of the chamber.

Put the mouthpiece in your mouth and form a seal with your lips. The AeroChamber Plus® Flow-Vu® aVHC Inspiratory Indicator will only move when you have a good mouthpiece seal.

Breathe out gently through the chamber and depress the inhaler at the beginning of a slow inspiration. Hold your breath 5 – 10 seconds as possible. The EZ Flow™ exhalation valve directs the exhaled medication away from your face and eyes.

If you cannot hold your breath, keep your lips tight on the mouthpiece and breathe 2-3 times with your lips sealed on the chamber.

If you hear the whistle sound, it means that you are inhaling too quickly.

Take only one puff at a time.
