The AeroVent Plus® Collapsible Holding Chamber (CHC) is uniquely designed to be placed in the inspiratory limb of a ventilator circuit without any additional flow, unlike a jet nebulizer. With a simple connection, the AeroVent Plus® CHC can lessen the risk of a nosocomial infection by maintaining a closed circuit. The AeroVent Plus® CHC is easy to open and close, providing less disruption to patient comfort. The unique AeroDock®canister port allows the AeroVent Plus® CHC to accept standard pMDIs and those with integrated counters. The full size chamber allows for full plume development to provide maximum aerosol availability.
Maintains Ventilator Closed Circuit Integrity. Exclusively designed to be placed in the inspiratory limb of a ventilator circuit without any additional flow, unlike using a jet nebulizer. Lessen the risk of nosocomial infection by maintaining a closed circuit.
Full Chamber Size. The 155cc chamber allows for full plume development to provide maximum aerosol availability. The aerosol jet is directed into the mainstream of the inspiratory flow thereby improving aerosol delivery by minimizing technique error.
The unique AeroDock® canister port system allows the AeroVent Plus® CHC to accept standard pMDI canisters when the insert portion is left in the port and to accept standard pMDI canisters with integrated counters when the insert portion is removed. This unique design ensures that both a standard MDI canister and standard MDI canister with integrated counter can be securely and properly positioned in the port for actuation. This dual purpose system is able to accommodate both MDI versions without compromising safety. The cap and insert portions of the AeroDock® canister port system are both tethered to the CHC to minimize the risk of misplacing these components and to make sure they are readily available when required.
UNIQUE DESIGN FEATURES
Offset wye connection allows for use in both standard and parallel wye circuits.
Syringe-like pMDI actuation tabs around the AeroDock® canister port, similar to those found on a syringe, make it simple to hold the chamber while actuating the pMDI.
Robust closure mechanism eliminates the need for a latch. It is simple to connect, open and close with less disruption to the patient.
Protective collar minimizes condensate from entering the endotracheal / tracheal tube. Also gives the ability to drain condensate in the device.
