AAP Study - AeroEclipse® II BAN reduces PEDIATRIC ED ADMISSIONS

A study presented at the 2010 American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Conference compared admissions and patient satisfaction between the AeroEclipse® II Breath Actuated Nebulizer (BAN) and a continuous out-put nebulizer among participants presenting to a pediatric emergency department for acute asthma.

The study found 44% of the continuous nebulizer users required hospitalization as compared to only 32.9% in the BAN group.  In addition 54% of the BAN users "strongly agreed" they would feel comfortable receiving treatments with the same type of nebulizer in the future as compared to only 27% of the continuous nebulizer group.
